Resilience and Authenticity in Action

Savanah McCarty's thoughtful storytelling is elevated by the comfortable charisma born of living from a place of authenticity.

In 2022, Savanah faced a near-death experience that changed her life forever. She was crushed under her horse, Gus, who experienced an unexpected EPM spinal seizure. Despite the odds, she was life-flighted for emergency brain surgery to fix an active brain bleed, resulting in her having a traumatic brain injury (TBI). This harrowing ordeal only fueled her resilience and enriched her narrative with even greater depth, perspective, and inspiration.

Some will connect with Savanah's story because it reminds them of their power to overcome challenges; others will be moved and inspired by her no-holds-barred approach to alchemizing big dreams into a better reality.

Her poignancy, energy, and warmth make her equally at home on a stage or behind a podcast microphone, and her message resonates with people from all walks of life.

  • I have worked in service to the Gallatin Valley community in mental health care Valley for over 40 years. As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in private practice. Recently, I have begun to work with Savannah McCarty on intensive out patient treatment protocols. Her skills and experience in both facilitating and guiding intensive healing sessions is profound. Our most recent co-therapy treatment was with a patient who had been in therapy for over 14 years. The experience was so transformative that the person was able to access deep profound traumas, process them, and take subsequent actions that dramatically enhanced the quality of their life. This is what excellent therapeutic work looks like.

  • Savanah spent an hour on a Zoom call having a conversation with a room full of acute care rehabilitation clinicians. As so many of us experienced during the pandemic, meaningful connection can be hard to establish on a virtual meeting. Well, that could not have been further from the truth this time. Savanah's radical candor and sincere expression of a difficult and unconventional recovery trajectory was riveting. The combination of devastating injury, lack of conventional healthcare support, and her uncanny ability to crisply articulate all of the ups and downs cut straight to the heart of the situation. Purpose, community, and grit are the pure distillation of a journey through survivorship in real time. If you are looking for a guide to help you shake the rust off and see what is possible when the only answer is "yes, I can", then Savanah McCarty is that sage voice.
